ID this fish .dont know what fish this is

Hi all
Hope everyone doing good

I got a fish which I Quite sure what it is .
Was told it's a blenny. I saw him fight for nori with my tang .sneaky fellow he is .

I recently added few shrimp. The next day each died .I found out that he been picking on the shrimps .he goes for the eyes .

So I got a doubt of it's a blenny,dottyback , dart fish or something else .
Please help me find what fish this is so it would be easy for to add thing accordingly

Looks like a hound splendid dottyback maybe. That would explain allot. They are mean at least the ones I have had.

It looks like a dottyback in face shape and fins, maybe Pseudochromis elongatus? It is sort of hard to tell and my experience is mainly from reading books.

The body shape and "picking at shrimp" sound like a dottyback, not a blenny.

It looks most like a female Mccullochi Dottyback or Steene's dottyback?

It also resembles the fang blennies (Meiacanthus), though the coloration is sort-of opposite that of the yellow-tail fang blenny.

...or a dusky dottyback (Pseudochromis fuscus) like the later images of the link.
It seems like they change colors in the manner shown in your videos with a yellow head and light blue/white to dark gray/blue/brown body.

There is also apparently a yellowhead dottyback (Pseudochromis cyanotaenia) that might be another possibility.

Hi all
Thanks for all the advice. With your help I was able to identify it as a Dottyback .

Than I Did a google search with all the Dottyback name you have went through all the picture. Was able to find it since I see it Iive everyday and the picture I Have shows different colours .

Yes finally .I been searching for blenny all these while. Thanks for all the support was able to find out.
But this dilectis dottyback is a mean fellow .chases my 6line wrasse time to time .
