@evolved everyone is tagging you so I hope you can help!! Or anyone else could tell me the name? Or if its reef safe!! Thank you

But a good guess .... I think that's exactly what it is!
Sweet! From what I read it is not reef safe, eats meaty foods and your inverts. The site I looked at recommended min 100 gal. Found in Costa Rica.

Not reef safe at all! I had one a while back ...... Murder on the shrimps and crabs. Banished to the FOWLR. I now keep a dusky in my reef. Not 'friendly' to the CUC but not quite so bloody minded.

It a beautiful fish when it matures from the pics I have seen. To bad, if it was reef safe I would be out shopping!

Went back to the fish store this morning and someone else bought it! But thanks to everyone, I decided not to buy it anyway because it's just a matter of time for that fish to lose its beautiful colors..

Figured you are all trolling with the name....go figure. Yup - pretty fish for sure.

Hah, yes, how it got the common name pudding wife I cannot say ....

As with many of the halocheries wrasses, the males end up as quite the peacock. My dusky is spectacular ..... Though it's also a good 7 inches so not for a small tank.

My Dusky was a holy terror. Beautiful fish but killed a number of flashers and fairies.
