Yes I googled it and you guys are correct. So should I leave them alone?

They are good. A little cut and paste "You may have some odd hairs squirming about on your
sandbed. They may be red, green, brown, or white. They grab food too. Looks like
you have hair worms (commonly called spaghetti worms). Read about them here - Spaghetti and Hair Worms "
