Thought the the same at first. But the worm had two antennas looking things sticking out and then it produces a mucous membrane that catches its food and sucks with back in.
 
Are they bad ?
Not too dangerous, but a pain. They shoot out a mucus net that irritates corals and keeps them from opening up. Break it off at the base and crush it out of water. Or glue over the hole if you can’t get the whole thing off.
 
keep it, it is a vermetus vermetid, the huge ones don't seem to usually breed in captivity nor irritate as much corals
It had a hard tube. It started to spit out a web of slime. I ended up getting rid of it.
