ALL crabs are not needed in a reef IMO.

Even Emerald Crabs go rogue when running out of extra food to scavege... they'll go after fish at night while they are sleeping

i put it in a tank with less corals as its sketchy whether they are even safe for corals, right?

It does look like a decorator crab for sure.

They will trim your corals for you, taxi them around, grab some more and then make a mobile coral/sponge for you.

With that said, I love mine, but it will grab all kinds of things and put it all over itself as "camouflage"
