Got this coral from the lfs for free. Told it is a procillipora (sic?). Can someone verify this and let me know care needs. So far I know high light, high flow.

Also, can someone post a picture or link of a healthy version of whatever this is so I can monitor its health

Thanks!

Look on live aquaria .com or search in google I would post the link right now but I can't lol.

They have good care sheets for tons of things.

Yes pocillapora. Look like the bottom is dead or bleached.

I can't seem to find a pic of mine right now.

This one was just recently fragged so I hope with time it will look like the last picture. Any tips to get it there other than live aquaria. ? Thanks everyone

Just like you posted above. No special care. Good light, flow and water quality. It's a hardy coral.

Just a heads up this coral can spawn in aquariums and you can end up with pocillapora colonies all over your tank. It's a nuisance coral to some.

And here is a pic of mine:

It had some bleached spots and with med light and med flow, it is making great progress.

Will the white portions eventually grow polyps? Or will new "branches" just grow and hide the bleached ones? Again want to know what to look for so I can move it if necessary for proper lighting

I have pretty strong lighting (55 led bright white, blue). Want to be I'm not bleaching it more

Again, I've only had it a couple days so I expect it to take some time to acclimate.

I am helping a friends with theirs and it had only one small branch left with polyps and I set it down low in my tank and it's got a few branches coming back in

I've saved a few SPS now and much of my success has come by placing the corals on the bottom and waiting for them to start looking a little healthy again then slowly moving them up. I run 8 T5's on a standard 90 so I still get plenty of light down low
