I thought they had an ID section on R2R but didn’t see it. If there is, my apologies to the admins for posting in the wrong section.

I am looking for the ID on this guy. I’ve had it for awhile and thought at one point it was Tyree IceFire but now that’s its growing out I’m sure it’s not.

It’s a common SPS but I can’t recall what exactly it was.

Any ideas? Green base with blue tips.

Maybe a type of echinata or granulosa? I'm sure some stick experts will chime in soon.

Some of the fine lines get blurred with SPS. I actually just found out recently how much they hybridize -- I thought there must be some hybrids for sure, but I didn't realize each and every species could blend to make various hybrids.

Kinda looked like fire and ice echinata to me.

I asked Tyree and he didn't think it was. But it was also when it was smaller and not as grown out. I recall back when I acquired this I also had a frag of Tyree fire and ice. Lost one of them to a rainbow montipora war. Overtime I lost track of which one I lost. The other had a common name as well.. just can't remember what it was.

If you can get a clearer picture in daylight, that will help.

Looks like an A. Echinata on the surface. If somebody told me that it was A. Tenuis without the polyps out, then that would not surprise me either - it almost looks like a SC Orange Passion without any polyps. It looks like it might have some radial corallites, but I cannot really tell.
