Picked up this frag today from a semi local store.

Not sure exactly what it is or if it needs any special care.

Does it look okay or should it open more? Not sure since I just brought it home.

I'd like it to grow more heads and get bigger obviously.

It'll be puffy in no-time, they're a really easy coral to keep.

It looks to be acclimating to your tank. It should get puffier in the next day or two and put out feeding tentacles at night.
Is there a pic of what these look like? I may have seen some last night.

I think this was a fresh cut frag so hopefully it bounces back quick. Everything else I have is doing great.

They had a bright green one at the store
It's looking way better. This is what a candy cane looks like with a feeding response.

They had one with this coloration at the store but it didn't look great. I'm gonna stop back by this weekend and if it's still there I'm gonna buy it.

Mine loves phytoplankton. Sorry had to edit. She said voluptuous, not fat.

Give it 5 years and it will explode like this one I have.

This one below was a frag of four heads from the one above and now it’s going crazy too.

They’re one of the easiest LPS to keep.

Not to highjack thread but my candy cane and Duncan’s haven’t opened since I got them three months ago

They, as most other LPS (and SPS for that matter) like stable water pramameters. A little N03 and trace P04. Med to low flow and mid to low in the tank, par around 100-150 ish.

Duncan’s like to be spot fed from time to time. Candy’s I don’t spot feed.

My LEDs seem to be forgiving and everything likes where I put it
