Hey all, I was looking at my rock, and noticed this bright orange thing on it.

I did just take out the rock to remove some aptasia and it's possible I didn't put the rock back the way I have had it, but I have never seen this before.

I have had the rock for a few weeks, and I got it from a coral research facility, in a tank with 100's of corals.

Not sure if it's a type of encrusting coral, or if it's part of the rock.

I feel like if it was coral it wouldn't be fluorescent under white light, right?

Could be a sponge.

It does nothing, it feels like part of the rock, and I just scraped a little with my nail and a little of it came off.
