Hello everyone, so I have a funny story, there was this time I grabbed some water from the ocean to start up a new tank and tiny almost completely transparent fish came with the bucket of water, like a cm or less in size. I didn’t notice is until I got home and i didn’t want to kill it so I took a risk and put it in my nano reef tank. It survived and it kept eating and growing to the point where it got too big for the nano tank. It wasn’t aggressive or sick, so i move it to my 55gal tank where it’s thriving. It eats a lot and I wanted to know what kind of fish it is, anything helps, thanks

Maybe a snapper species ?

I'm thinking either Pinfish (Lagodon rhomboides; the striping on these can be really faint sometimes) or Western Atlantic Seabream (Archosargus rhomboidalis).

I’m thinking a Pinfish too because of the similarities. Hopefully it doesn’t grow too big for the tank, I’m sure I can’t surrender it since not many people will want it in their tank.
