Hey guys,

If you cant tell by now... I have a lot of time on my hands haha. Anyways, I bought this new coral from my LPS and so far every time I buy from them something strange ends up hitch hiking. Usually its some form of aiptasia... Anyways, I was looking around the forum here and I saw some one post something about bubble algae. After reading that post I noticed something similar on my new coral. Can you guys ID this for me? Do I need to worry about this?

I see what looks like aiptasia. I guess it could be bubble algae but the fact that it is clear is a good thing. Clear should mean die off.

Get rid of it. Out of the tank if possible so its spores dont spread use some tweasers or a small hose to siphon it out if it has to be done in tank. It will be all over the place if left alone

Johnson, I think you just saved me big time! I took the coral off to examine the two bubbles, only to find out a huge cluster of green bubbles on the other side 3X bigger! I can't believe this!

I took it into the bathroom and gently carved them off with a razor blade. Then I tweezed what I could out of the sides. after that I scrubbed it with a toothbrush dosed in RODI water. For good measure I put coral glue all over the spot where it was. I really hope these dont come back. They are disgusting!!!!!!

Don't look like aiptasia to me? More of a coral? No tentilcols at all????
