Found this...either baby lobster or baby pistol shrimp in a hole/tunnel in some live rock I brought back from ST. Thomas, I need an ID pls..thx!!

It might pair up but not all pistol shrimps do. Some like to like in rocks not sand.
Just be cautious
 
I have a pistol shrimp and a yellow watchman goby .... both living at seperate ends of my tank :oops::rolleyes::D its always hit and miss if they pair up .. unless you buy them already coupled .. imo
 
Aha but how do you know if it's a symbiotic pistol shrimp? And say it's not one of the pairing kinds can I have two

Maybe i have two pistols with two yasha goby on the same rock at opposite ends of the rock
Oneday they might find each other and fight
I ended up with two be ouse i thought one had died
