To battle dinoflagellates I raised nutrients:
nitrates less than 5ppm
Phosphate around 0.1ppm
Obviously start growing some hair algae and also this type.
Should I be worried about that?
the second picture is a 120x magnification
I excluded cyano cause it’s attached to rocks and I don’t remove easily



ps: if some mod can change title to "ID purple algae" please, when I text from my phone it always lose some word

It’s also hair algae bleached. Often confused with gracilaria , urchins and emerald crabs should eat it.

They were all over the whole tank, now I have only some traces on sand but I don't know if they are dead or what

I’ve had the same thing and my guess is the same as @vetteguy53081
Mexican turbos took it out pretty quickly.
