Anyone have any idea what this is?
About a year ago, someone had given me a bunch live rock covered in hair algae, a couple clown fish, a crap load of red mushrooms, one snail, and one small clam.
The only thing they wanted was for me to keep the hair algea because the clowns love to swim and sleep in it nothing else.
Yesterday, I’m doing a water change and for the first time I see this and it’s hard with a little bit of give, a transparent green, slick and doesn’t seem to have any pores or (texture) any idea. I thought maybe it was a sponge and somebody mentioned that it might be algae

It looks like ulva ( lettuce algea) can be taken care of with emerald crabs and hermit crabs. Or manually removed with tweezers.
