It’s not a flatworm right? Is it a known torch pest? Trying to eliminate possible causes of recession. If this isn’t it, I need to keep going. If it is, I can wait for the road to recovery. TIA
 
Looks like some sort of nudibranch. Maybe berghia, but not sure.
 
Hmm. Not obvious then. I get the feeling amphipods are unlikely to cause retraction? Nudibranch maybe tho.
 
these do not look like nudibranchs. Think they are just some sort of pods, I see similar ones all the time and are not an issue

Best I can do…. They’re a little worse for wear as been in the dip for hours. Not quite sure these guys are the ones causing the issue tho. I just admit, im surprised there were so many on a relatively small coral…
