Hey there. Not sure if this would be a good idea, or if anyone has tried this. I would like some second thoughts on it. I let my macro algea get out of control and it stripped my water clean of nitrate and phosphates. Low and behold dinos were screaming hello. I am raising my nutrients back up slowly. But I was wondering if this would be a good idea... What if I black out my display and run my fuge light 24/7, let the dinos in the water column gather on some rock in my sump and clean them out in bulk from the sump? Would that go as planned or will they just always be in the display as well?

Just dose Silca and beat em back for good.

I'm not sure how practical it is to clean them all out of the sump.

What is the phosphate level in your tank?
