Idea for new type of aquascaping.

Well I was able to get my hands on a few pieces of really cool looking dead coral that I plan on using to aquascape my aquarium. I really wish I took photos of the individual pieces, but here is the final look.

What does everyone think I should do on the left side? I think just using LR would make it look out of balance.

I wish I could have taken better photos ugh. It looks really cool in peron!

Not going to lie, I was thinking of doing that and putting SPS on each island. I thought it would be pretty sweet to have sps growing from the ground haha

That reminds me of the old large tonga branch rock that was coming in. If you could find some nice branching LR that might make a nice balance for the other side.

I really kinda dig the rock ledge look, not sure where all that sand would wind up once the pumps get going , pretty cool layout though (on the reef stock post) wounder if you could incorporate that into one corner of your tank, and the branching coral in the opposite?

If you want to do Acros, I would do a giant staghorn (or more) on the left side growing from the ground up as you mentioned. If not, you could do another super low lying island on the left side.

I used this piece of table acro that was ordered in a 50lbs shelf rock from BRS it's easily 25lbs.......

I filled it with sand and created an elevated sand bed, this is where the Tahitian Maxi and 3 other clams are located.....I also have sps, euphyllia and some zoas.....I can get updated pics of it as it is now too if you want.

Here it is just after everything was put back together......It don't look like that now so if want updated pics just say so....

Hey Ryan if you want some more pieces of old dead corals for the other side, I've got several pieces around that are still wrapped in plastic. Maybe a table-top or something, let me know.

Picked up a few smaller pieces today, going to see what I can do, debating about making this more of a center piece with long extended branches.

Thanks Austin! I think I know what type you're talking about, the super thick green kind? Man if I could have like 5-6 of those going up like bamboo that would be so sick I didn't even think of that!
Or even if I could find the skeleton of some and put different encrusting montis, haha that would be so colorful.

No problem It has changed a bit since then, it really opened up the swimming room as opposed to the rock wall I had......I have about a 1/3 the rock I used to have......That first section of your rock work will be sweet with acros growing off it....Plus any fish will have lots of room too......
