.I have 23 gallon nano that I was thinking of making strictly softys .mostly mushrooms. Looking to put higher end unique mushrooms in .. Everytime I put them in my big tank they would detach and I loss them thats why I'm leaning towards the smaller tank for shrooms...whats the ideal setup for them ..I have a kessil 360w on the tank ..any tricks to getting them to grow out.do you feed them ? Add any special amino or liquids?..

Generally mushrooms don’t require additional food outside of photosynthesis. Each genus has different care and some genera aren’t really well researched into like the Ricordeas.

I feel yumas are the tuffest ones to keep for me ..what would be the ideal rick structure to aquascape for mushrooms.? I'm thinking flat plate like rocks
Yuma’s are hard to get settled but when they settle down they’re easy as pie to keep happy.
I find mushrooms are happiest with a crevice to tuck their foot into. If possible what genus/“morphs” of mushroom are you most interested in keeping?

Well right now there in a little basket in my frag tank . I have an og, sunkist, neptune, I have a jugganuat and godzilla on the way ...im to scared to put them in my 400 gallon ,I tryied a fee and they detached after awhile and never seen them again ..thats why I'm thinking the small tank to display them .it's ashamed to keep them in the basket in a frag tank

Hey Charlie. I have had bad luck with the discosomas like jaw breakers end up floating away. In my bigger tanks as long as I put them in an area that seems to get lower flow they stay put. They should be laying flat against the rock or frag disc. If you see parts of them occasionally lifting off the rock then I move them to a lower flow area. The mushrooms like the bounces seem to do ok with that. Also either flat or any type of rock doesn’t seem to matter for me. Mine are all probably in 50-100 par also.
