If you were going to set up large stand alone frag tanks how would you go about setting it up in your opinion... I've seen various types of setups but was curious what the best one would be for a LPS frag tank that isn't tied into a main tank.

In general would you go fishless, bare bottom, w or w/o skimmer, etc, etc... What do you feel would be the best route?

Definitely with skimmer for optimum results. Good lighting like either t5s or high quality leds. In my shallow frag tank I have sand because it helps for the bacteria so it keeps more stable parameters. Probably a auto top off just to make sure there is the very little parameter swing. As far as fish maybe very minimum to non basically if you want to or not. Their poop feeds the coral but then again may also be more maintance like water changes.

IF YOU HAD TO TAKE A REEFING EXAM, WOULD YOU PASS?
