Ideals for 2 75 gallon top and bottom stand help

Looking to do a 75 top, and a 75 bottom. Bottom will be use a large sump for extra water volume and refug etc. Will 4x6 work better, and use support on the outside instead of inside? Please help.

I personally prefer doubled up 2 X lumber as you can overlap the joints.

I used notched 4x4s to build my bunkbed style mixing station. It holds 100 gallon stock tanks on the top and bottom.

4x6 will be completely overkill for a stand for two 75's not to mention extremely expensive currently.

2x4 construction, doubled up where needed to support possible sag and proper bracing will be plenty strong.

Doubled up meaning two pieces, glued and screwed together. 2 2x4 double up as stretcher Or main supports.
