Ideas for a 55 gal reef tank

Wassss uuupppp I’m looking for sculpting/ live rock placement/ coral types for a 55 gallon aquarium any pics of your tanks or something similar will work just looking for inspiration also some plumbing ideas for the sump!!!

How many lbs of live rock, what types of coral, what kinds of fish, and how many

55 was roughly was about 50lb

in my 55 was yellow tang, clown, six line, yellow wrasse

now my 180 is just blue tang, scopas, orange shoulder, coral beauty, 2 clown, 2 chromis, probably 150lbs rock

Always have been less is more for everything rock and stocking

Corals have always been soft-colt, kenya trees, mushrooms, zoas, hammers, toad stools

had some sps long time ago but havent in a long time

Fish always need to take i to consideration how big will they get, im not about cramming fish into a small tank or loading many fish into an aquarium, but thats just my personal feelings…

have gone now to carib sea life rock and am quite happy with results, tank is 1/2 real live rock and 1/2 carib sea now

That’s really nice!! I don’t plan on having a lot of fish I already have two mated clowns what else would your recommend for a 55

Also the lights are virospectra ok lights or should I go with kessil I want to grow like a montipara coral and that’s it on sps coral!

not sure on the lights

I was previously ai sol leds

now am radion xr15 pro’s

sure other can weigh in on lights

i love yellow coris wrasse

green chromis are just active

have had flamehawk who too me were too agressive for my liking

have had foxface-they were just there

royal gramma but will hang in rockwork

tangs will outgrow

anthias are pretty but feeding at least 3 times a day

cardinal fish but not a fan


sure others can weigh in on fish
