Ideas for Ato for 800 gallon setup

Looking for new ideas on an Ato for my 800.

Need to have at least one form of backup.

Tried the Neptune ATK and it wont keep up with it. Even If i change the allowed times on.

Any ideas?

What are you looking to accomplish exactly? You should be able to do anything you want with a Break out box and 1 or more float switches.

What feature of the ATK is causing the problem? Max run time or only running once per hour? Both of those can be changed to meet your needs. Have you posted your problem on https://forum.neptunesystems.com/?

I dont like float switches as I've had them stick on... not good with a 50 gallon ato reservoir...

The Neptune atk is basically a break out box with 2 Neptune optical sensors and a float valve correct???

If so... it doesnt turn on once below optical sensor. Funny thing is when I test it by lowering it below water and then taking out it starts up... but on it's on accord it wont... ticking me off to be honest. I really thought this was going to be a great setup as it has triple redundancy with a float at the end... I've even tried changing the allowed minutes to be on before off to no luck.
On my nano I use the aqua fill with the titanium stick dealy probes... works flawlessly... but doesn't come with a back up shut off like a float. The reservoir is only 1 1/2 gallons so if it kept pumping... wouldnt be a huge deal.

I'm looking for something that will pump faster than the atk and has a backup system to shut off if passes a sensor... I used the large float valve on my old 450 gallon but had the option to hook up to the ro line itself. I have to be able to pump the water into sump from ato container.

I'm sure theres a better way on larger tanks... I'm sure on a smaller scale the atk is a fine option... just not on my 800plus gallon.

I've changed both settings... it doesnt start up when it gets low. I've tried telling it That it can be on for 1 hour... and can run every 30 mins if it wants...

The Neptune ATK uses two optical sensors, one primary and one backup plus a float that serves as a third layer of protection in case both optical sensors fail to stop the pump. The ATK code also prevents the pump from running more than five minutes or more often than once per hour. It uses a Fluid Monitoring Module (FMM) to control the pump. When you test it it may not appear to be working correctly if it ran for more than five minutes or it ran withing the last 60 minutes. I'm using my ATK to fill my ATO container and have a Tunze 3155 to handle the actual ATO duties for the sump. I would use a pair of the 3155s but my RODI tank is too far below the tank for the 3155 to work.

That's an idea... I think the float valve will only allow so much water to get by it... it's really slow

As far as sensors. I’ve used the Avast ATO tied into an Apex BoB and it’s worked for 8 years solid now. The pressure switch works really well.

As far as pump. I’m actually looking at buying an old Cole Parmer Peri pump, adjustable speeds, easy and cheap to replace the Peri tube, and should last forever.
