I dont like float switches as I've had them stick on... not good with a 50 gallon ato reservoir...
The Neptune atk is basically a break out box with 2 Neptune optical sensors and a float valve correct???
If so... it doesnt turn on once below optical sensor. Funny thing is when I test it by lowering it below water and then taking out it starts up... but on it's on accord it wont... ******* me off to be honest. I really thought this was going to be a great setup as it has triple redundancy with a float at the end... I've even tried changing the allowed minutes to be on before off to no luck.
On my nano I use the aqua fill with the titanium stick dealy probes... works flawlessly... but doesn't come with a back up shut off like a float. The reservoir is only 1 1/2 gallons so if it kept pumping... wouldnt be a huge deal.
I'm looking for something that will pump faster than the atk and has a backup system to shut off if passes a sensor... I used the large float valve on my old 450 gallon but had the option to hook up to the ro line itself. I have to be able to pump the water into sump from ato container.
I'm sure theres a better way on larger tanks... I'm sure on a smaller scale the atk is a fine option... just not on my 800plus gallon.
