Ideas for disguising lights?

I want to hang two ai primes over my tank, but I can't stand the look of them. Has anyone successfully put some sort of lampshade over each one? I want the tank to look as natural as possible, without black equipment.

Yeah but that's what I'm trying to avoid. The mounts and stuff that exist are so industrial looking and BLACK. I want something that blends in with my living room. What is the reason for not being able to hang it with some sort of shade? Heat?

So you don't have issues with heat dissipation? I can definitely make something or find something that will work with modifications, but I want to make sure I'm not doing something that will be a fire hazard or ruin the lights.

The shades are open on the sides where the light fans vent. Have never felt them get warm. Have to give credit to @chemisfun11 who 3D printed them for me!

There is a light shade out there for the AI prime on www.thingiverse.com. I could 3D print it for you in the color of your choice. My personal shades are white, but most of my customers request black.

I thought we called it a hood that goes over the tank for hiding the lights... or in wall. Most led setups are ugly. I find ati t5 to be somewhat sleek looking at least with the thin wire hanging it up.

Too bad they don't make them white or silver right? Did they stop making white???

Hoods or canopies are often made of wood. I had one over my first tank and I hated it. It was such a pain to access the inside of the tank for feeding, maintenance etc.
