Ideas for fish traps to get my pseudochromis out?

I'm evicting my pseudochromis because he has killed a fish and is being really aggressive towards the other tank mates. Has messed up my clowns eye to where it almost looks like it has popped out but hasn't. Hopefully won't cause any problems. He's still eating and swimming fine. The fish he killed was a watchman goby. I'm really sure it is him because of watching his aggressive behavior towards others. Even goes after my trigger. I need ideas on how to get him out of my reef. Any ideas will help? I love my fish and can't have this happen to any of them.

This is what I have set up now. I fed with the net and my wrasse kept going in the net and not the pseudo but he was very cautious of it. Trying to trick him and trap him to make it easier. Taking the tank isn't an option with the corals and I really like how my rocks are laid.

Is this fish real smart and wary? If so You might need a larger fishtrap.
Ok I see, How big is the tank? The fish probably will be too leary of a small bottle trap.

One thing I've heard is that if you wait a couple of hours after lights out and then turn the lights on, sometimes fish are groggy and you can net them.

I currently have a bottle trap in there. I'm hoping it works tonight. I put some mysis in there and some flakes in there as well. I really hope it works. He has looked at it a few times but hasn't payed it any attention now

He's wary but I'm not sure about if he is smart. Tried to feed and catch him when he got close to the net but he started to get cautious once I missed a couple of times

One way I saw it done was to put the net in the tank and leave it for a few hours so the fish don't mind it anymore and ignore it then squirt food into it and the fish swim into it and you can scoop him out.

Is it possible to remove all of the other fish and leave the pseudochromis? Just humor me for a second...I'm trying to think outside the box here.

That would be really hard and I could probably only get like a couple out not all of them

He's showing interest in the bottle but so is my blenny. I'm hoping they blenny doesn't get caught in it

Don't worry about the blenny. If you have to remove both the trap and quarantine the pseudochromis, then do it. You can always net the blenny and put him back in the display tank.

Yeah true just as long as I can get that fish out and in the sump until tomorrow so I can take him to the lfs

I used this trap to catch a pita Mystery Wrasse. He was, notice I use past tense, brave when I wasn't around the tank and a chicken when I was. I placed this trap in the DT and didn't feed from it for 3 days and on the 4th day I fed from it and caught him in 1 minute after feeding. It does work but you have to be patient! Good Luck!

Just to share my recent experience on trapping orange-line chromis.
I make a large bottle trap & able to trapped 2 of the chromis, while the last chromis is still left out.
The chromis learnt that's a trap & it never went end or near again.

I tried to catch it at night but it keep hiding behind rocks, so i give up.

Lastly I closed all the rock gap that it usually went & left 1 with the bottle trap.
& slowly i use 2 fish net to slowly force it to go in the bottle trap. It works !

The aqua medic trap is great. I put a small mirror in the back of the trap, place the trap next to the front glass, and place another mirror outside the tank by the front of the trap. Aggressive fish usually have the biggest issues with themselves.

Yeah I ended up just having to take the tank apart and put it back together. So I got him and to be honest I sort of like the way my rocks turned out this time better than before. I stayed with the same blue prints just the way the rocks sit are better and feel more secure than before.

I leave a very large net in the tank for a week or so. I feed around the net and by the week or so, the fish i want out is usually use to the net by then. It has not worked on a coral beauty though.
