Ideas for Over the back filters

@luke fortunato nope, not at all. I have been using it for about 6 months so far and the noise is barely noticeable. It is a Seachem tidal 75 which is for up to 75 gal. I’m sure you will not hear noise from the smaller ones.
 
I like my Marineland penguin filter with bio wheels. I have heard that aqua clear filters are good too, but I don’t have experience with them.

I run the Tidal 75 on my 40Breeder as well. How do you have your Tidal setup inside?
 
I have been running an Aquaclear AC70 on my 20 gallon for 3+ years without an issue, no complaints, nearly silent. I don’t use the stock media basket, I got a better one (forget the brand but marine depot sells them). It has separate compartments, is adjustable, easy to remove and clean. First chamber is a filter floss pad, second is Chemipure carbon, and third is Purigen with a bit of loose filter floss. Works like a charm!
