Here’s the situation (short version)…

I work away from home during the week, leave Monday about 5:30 AM and return Friday around 6:00 PM, I have been on this schedule, more or less, for the last 8 years. I have had a small reef tank for the last 10 years (47 gal bowfornt with sump), with the use of a controller and a couple of web cams I have managed to have some success with the tank. Stocking to this point has been without any real QT and I can say I haven’t had any major disease out breaks, but I have been pretty careful where I bought fish and corals. The tank has never been fully stocked due to my reluctance/fear of disaster every time I add anything. Currently stock is a handful of corals and two fish. The last time I added anything to the tank was over two years ago.

So I’m hoping you fine people can give me some guidance on how I can do a reasonable version of QT?

you could run an observation tank for 14 days. Assuming you have someone feeding during this time feed seachem metro and dose to tank every 48 hours.

After 14 days add a Fw black molly(slowly acclimate stating Friday night to saltwater by sunday night). Stop dosing and feeding metro. Observer the molly with your fish for another 14 days.
