Looks like dead hair algae. Blowing it with a turkey baster should dislodge some and then siphon. Finish with cleaner crew such as
Astrea
cerith
turbo grazer
trochus

A Pencil urchin

8-10 Caribbean blue leg hermits

Are you using RODI water or tap water from the faucet ?
What is your phosphate level?
Is tank at or near a window?

Rodi unit used.
Nitrates 23, phosphate.20
Never had green hair algaes.
Tank is about 1 year 8 months old.
Also have a white fuzz on rocks in spots.
I don’t carbon dose.

You'll need microscope pics for this stuff for anyone to say for sure, but it's some sort of algae.
