Ok, so here is the deal. I had 2 plain jane Oce clowns. One decided he didnt like my tank anymore and decided that he would rather carpet surf. So I only have one left. He will leave shortly to join another tank. I would like some ideas for some clowns..... I have a RBTA so they would need to hopefully fingers crossed, pair with the nem. Please give me some suggestions, however they need to resemble Nemo as thats what the wife likes...... Thanks guys!

Picasso Clarkiis are unusual and relativly "new" to the clownfish collecting side of the hobby.

I just picked up a black ice from alpha corals and it's awesome. Picassos are great too once the black comes in.

There's no guarantee that a perc or any other will take to the BTA, but mine did after about a month.

Is it better to get a pair or singles and let them pair? And where do you get the picasso's from? I checked LA and donisreef.com, any other places?

Try Alpha Corals on here. You can't beat buying WYSIWYG with vids of each individual fish

checked them. They dont have any pairs available. Should I get 2 seperates or a pair? thoughts?

I bought mine as individuals but put them in the tank at the same time. They quickly decided who was in charge.

When they are young the pairs that you see available are chosen based on markings and not because they chose eachother. The way alphacorals does it allows you to pick out each fish individually rather than just settling for the one that has already been paired up. As long as they are both young you shouldn't have any problems. The black ice I just got from Kris was readily excepted my 9yr old ocellaris female luckily.

Awesome guys! thank you so much! I will be looking for some that I like and see if I can find 2 of them....

with the onyx or other darker clowns you might have some color loss with them hosting in a bta. i have seen several people have onyx in a bta that will thrn the into percs. they make the black on some clowns slowly dissapear. it happend to my pair.
I have a bta with a pair of Tricinctus just for this reason so hey stay their yollowish tan color and not darken up to dark brown like they do when they are adults.

I am leaning more toward the Picassos or snocasso's. They seem to look better to me than the black ones or the onyx ones. just my preference. LOL. Thank you for the info!

I've got a sweet pair of Snow Onyx right now thats hosting an bta nem. They have been darkening up quite nicely in the nem. I'll shoot you a pm. Thanks for the kind words everyone :)
