So I get crazy salt creep down around my sump. My return chamber is covered. So it really amazes me how the accumulation is so quick. I’m posting to see what good ideas people have for controlling their salt creep.

IME splashing causes it to get this bad. Mine looks horrible because I had my skimmer splashing too much. If not for splashing this doesn’t usually get this bad. Just my .02

Socks practically eliminate salt creep in the return chamber. Since I switched from a skimmer that returned water at the top (Reef Octopus) to one that returns the water at the bottom (Nyos), I have very, very little salt creep in my sump at all.
