Funny looking fan type thing on my snail shell anyone know what this is?

Hard to tell from the blur and shake. Would guess some kind of hydra or similar filter feeder. Can you try to take a pic with the highest zoom?

Best I can get. Any help?

Is that a white tube on the base? And does it retract into it very quickly when irritated? If so thats a feather dusters worm. It's a harmless filterfeeder.

Some in this forum view them as pests bc they are hardy and can reproduce to apocalyptic quantities taking over whole rockscape. However IMHO that would only be the case if your tank condition is bad to begin with and has too much excess disolved nutrients. In an otherwise healthy and balanced tank these worms should be an integral part of the biodiversity that help maintain the stability of the tank.
