Hello, we have recently had a bloom of some sort of algae and I was wondering if anyone can help. It’s all over the sand and rocks. It’s dusty with some stringy bits. (Were going to order a microscope today)

tank:
-Fluvalflex 123
-Dry sand
-Eco rock
-Upgraded in tank baskets running filter floss, carbon and bio spheres
-jaebo gyre pump and another power head for flow.

Water parameters:
Water parameters
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0.5
Nitrate 25mg/l
Phosphates 2,0mg/l

We have attached pictures however it’s a little difficult with the curved front. Thank you for your help

What are you measure with ? It looks like a Cyanobacteria/dinoflagellate bloom but - IME - it will be triggered of low nutrient concentrations and not in these you report.

Sincerely Lasse
