I’m having a hard time diagnosing my clown, I’m a new keeper, so fish illness is a new one. I’ve searched thru humble.fish and it doesn’t appear to be black ick.

Sorry, was posting thinking it was do or die within seconds of posting!
FOWLR, 29G QT, Aquaclear 70 filter, cheaper LED strip light from petco, and the QT has been running while I’ve been developing my DT for 2 months now.
Parameters are stable,
0 Ammonia
8.1 pH
0.25 ppm Phos
5 ppm Nitrate
No copper because I haven’t received my test kit yet

Unfortunately not that easy. Nothing other than fish and invertebrates in the aquarium.

Update: I gave all 3 fish a freshwater dip, and now have them in a different tank, with general cure. Maui (our infected fish) has responded well with the dip, and is more active, and the black has started to fade.

I’ve had the fish for 7-8 weeks, and it appears his breathing is normal.

If the symptoms are better tomorrow, then the FW dip likely had some temporary benefit. The most typical reason that would be is flukes. The General Cure will treat that!
