Identification help for this .. whatever it is, please.

What is this please? I just found it attached to my return pump. When I tried to detach it some bubbles came out of it.

Never seen anything like this before.

All I can say some type of worm! Never seen anything like this and my Worm ID website has nothing like this

Does it move? If it's not a worm could it be some weird snot-like tunicateish thing?

Well @GHsaltie figured it out! it's a Tunicate kinda looks like this image I found online

It doesn't move. the two "fingers" were growing towards the light in my sump.
just got a better picture. Something is in it.

My partner wants to keep it... not sure about that

Tunicates are harmless filter feeders. This guy may not be the prettiest creature in your system, but still useful and interesting ... and by the way, many folks are unable to keep tunicates for any great length of time, so pat yourselves on the back for that one!

Also interesting ... the closest relatives in your tank to tunicates . . . are your fish. Tunicates are members of Phylum Chordata.
