I once had several fowlr tanks 20 years ago. Back then I mostly kept triggerfish and other predatory fish. I got back into the hobby about a year ago.
I now have a 40 breeder fwlr and some invertebrates. My current stock consists of two ocellaris, one azure damselfish, one royal gramma, and an orchid dottyback.
For about three months now my dottyback and my royal gramma have been flashing against rocks my dottyback more so! I feed a variety of frozen foods with the occasional flakes and pellets and everyone has a good appetite. I don’t see any visible parasites, however, the dottyback has a somewhat sloughed appearance to its slime coat. Any idea what this could be? I soak the food in a homemade garlic solution as well.
I attached a couple pics of something growing on one of my pumps inside my tank. It doesn’t rub off easily but it’s not calcareous either.
