I think it's a nudibranch, do you know what kind? Is it reef safe

Yeah, definitely seems to be a Naria sp. - pics of the shell when it isn't covered by the mantle could help determine the species for sure, but there are only a handful of Naria species known to found in/around Florida's waters:

-N. acicularis
-N. cernica
-N. erosa
-N. helvola
-N. spurca
-N. turdus
