New to this site, just getting my Biocube 29 up and running. not established enough for any pictures worthy of what others have posted. Last 2 days I noticed this bright purple spot. Thought it was a frag or something. Until it started moving. Seems very interested in GSP.

It is very unique and bright looking, can someone tell me what it is and if it should be removed?

It's a nudibranch, a very cool one. If it's interested in the GSP it's probably munching on them. Most Nudi are specialized eaters, once the food source is gone they die of starvation.

Thanks all, will get it out tonight. Even though the GSP could use a trimming, it is out of control.

Thanks again.

They are not obligate predators on a particular soft coral species. They may not have been even eating the GSP, but were just moseying by on their way to a better lunch. No soft coral is safe with that brute. I had a beautiful orange one and it's really a shame they do such damage.
