My green palys closed up in the last week or so, and they're not opening back up. Other corals in the tank are doing fine, aside from a few zoa frags due to a nudibranch that I found. I picked up the frag to inspect it and noticed this purple and orange mat starting to cover the frag. I don't have coraline algae in my tank so I'm not sure what this is? Excuse the photobombing coral beauty.

That coral beauty looks upset the zoas are not open;Hilarious I'm not sure what kind but it looks like a type of nudibranch? Does it move? If it is I'm not sure its eating the zoas as some are sponge and tunicate eaters.

Thanks for the response, and you might be right about him being upset . It doesn't move. The best way I can describe it is that it looks and feels kind of like a GSP mat. I was able to peel some of it off the frag. I don't want to confuse what we're looking at here.. I mentioned nudibranch but there are none on this frag, this is just a purple and orange mat growing on it.
