Hello friends . Idk if this is the correct place to post this and I apologize in advance if it's not..
I'm just trying to identify these little red rings on some rock I was gifted. They're pretty soft to the touch and are a deep maroon color under the fluval 3.0. they're about 1/4 inch round. Any thoughts? Cheers

Could you get some pics underwater?
Looks like it may be red bubble algae. I have it in my tank, even the emerald crab doesn’t go after it much.

Hey sharkbait19. I guess I could put it back in... I took it out in case it's harmful. Thanks for the reply ✌️

Awesome, thanks for the knowledge vetteguy. How freakin cool, AMEBAS! Should I just remove the rock? Is it harmful? Does it spread?
