Hello all! Been in the hobby for just over a year now and I re-homed some coral and fish from a Army guy relocating. Can any one identify this Spider Sponge looking coral?!? Thanks in advance guys!!

+1 Branching Gorgonian....the polyps look like pulsing xenia heads but there is a white body to its structure. I have one and I like to think of it as my soft SPS. (those types of gorgonian also have an encrusting variety which is more weed like)

Hey, Thanks guys! They definitely don't pulse if they were a type of Xenia.

Reef lover, That is a pretty cool book/magazine. I need to pick up one of those for sure.

I used to be an "idiot" wanting to buy and own all the fancy named corals back then but now I've come to realize that even dull colored looking corals like Florida's local collections of gorgonias & rock anemones are just as beautiful if well taken care of in a establish tank. Makes the whole system look more natural and not filled with numerous tiny frags all over the the main system.
