IDENTIFICATION - This one has me stumped...

I've never seen anything like this before. It's a shiny purple colored thing growing inside of a hole in the live rock. It kind of reminds me of a balled up bubble tip anemone but I don't see any opening on it and I don't see any tentacles. My guess is it's probably a sponge of some sort...? Anyone have any ideas?

Looks like sponge.
 
Could be a closed up polyp of some kind of hicth hiker paly but it looks more like a sponge
 
Could feel it then you would know if it has sponge like texture but that may damage it
 
Im thinking ball anemone.. pics a little fuzzy
