Very hard to tell from the picture. Is there a chance at a clearer picture? My first impression is possibly some sort of Majano Anemone

Is this any better? And if it’s the anemone you were thinking are they bad?

If it's a majano anemone, they are generally considered a pest. Best bet would be, if you can, remove the rock, scrape them off, and put super glue or epoxy over where they were to make sure they don't grow back.

Thanks. I have that aptasia killing that you squirt in the center. Would that kill it?

Possibly. Never used it so I am unsure. Hopefully another user who has can chime in with an answer to that for you :)

Thanks for your help. I think the product is called aptasia x
I want to say I've read about other users using that for Majanos and being successful...don't quote me on that though ;)

I haven't used Aiptasia X, but have heard good things about it. What I do is make a kalk paste and use a syringe to adminester some right on the oral disc of the aiptasia/majano. Works every time. I have also done this on button polyps that have gotten attached to an unwanted area, works very well.

I've used Aiptasia X with mixed results on aiptasia but the babies come roaring back in no time. A cautionary note, however. The first time I used it, my two cleaner shrimp died the next day. They were 2 years old. Might have been a coincidence if only one had died, but both??

If you can remove the rock and treat in a separate container, it might cut back on them reproducing if you rinse well. Good luck. You definitely should get rid of them. So annoying.

I only had two fish in the tank. Used the aptasia x and so far it’s gone. We’ll see if it comes back. Thanks for the info though. And thankfully I hadn’t bought my cleaner shrimp. That would have sucked.
