Hi - I’m not sure what this is - I’ve just come across it the tank in a back corner I don’t usually see. I’m really hoping it’s not aptasia.



picture was hard to take given the size (it’s tiny) and the lighting. My apologies for the poor quality.

Looks like a tube worm in the sand. The crown is pretty feathery. Anyhow, wait for it to extend for a better shot.

Also, I doubt it's an aiptasia. by 100%
 
Thanks for the responses. I just noticed that when there was a loud sound it retracted and the tips look white (could be just the blue light though)

it came out a short time later

Feather worms are very easy to scare and retract quickly.

They have many predators.
