i have had this in my tank for years and still don't know what it really is can anyone help?

Protopalythoa or palythoa. I believe these are the ones that contain palytoxin so use gloves when handling for sure.

Thank You. I was thinking the same thing. It was given to me and I have never wore gloves. I've been wondering if this coral is the reason other corals keep dyeing?
i have a lot of it.(the pic is the smallest). 2 more large rocks with it.

Not the reason your other corals are dying. I mean, I suppose there a slight chance, but it’s very, very unlikely especially if you aren’t disturbing them or other corals aren’t going to war with them.
