COuld be a cup coral, nonphotosythetic coral. It should have an obvious skeleton when closed.

Looks like a Pseudocorynactis caribbeorum - Ball anemone - Not to be confused wiht Majano etc as most usually do

Could be wrong but looks very much like one.

They are considered a type of mushroom, even though we literally call them an anemone and ive had a few in a few tanks but they always seem to just dissappear over time for me.

I vote ball anemone as well. Always a cool find when looking the tank when the lights are out.
