Removing is darn near impossible. Best bet is to limit the excess nutrients in the tank, don't over feed, only give what your fish can consume. The more excess food the more snails they'll pop up
Agree with the above, but what's that other tentacle looking thing? A starfish? Octopus? lol
Had some flair up, broke some off and they went away over time...

there are those who say that bumblebee snails will kill/eat/control vermitids
I had a few vermitids in my DT - added 3 Bumbles to a 180
now the only place I have vermitids is in the overflow, and those I kill with forceps when I can reach them
was going to add a bumble to the overflow as an experiment
