Identify "algae?"

New 125 gal tank. Less than 3 months old. I know the green algae is part of starting a tank. What are these feather looking things ? Rock had been laying out in the weather for over 3 years.

It's been years since I've had to deal with it(knock on wood) but back then I used Kent Marine Tech M to raise my magnesium level up to 1800 for about 4 weeks and it melted the bryopsis away.I did lose all my snails during that time but not any fish. I'm not sure if this is still the "go to" method now or not. Let's see if someone from #reefsquad can step in and give you some advice.

Tech m no longer kills bryopsis. They took the chemical out of it. There is some other brand that works. Don't remember the name though.

I remember reading recently about a "natural" way to take care of bryopsis and was able to locate the thread below. WARNING: I'm not saying this will work as I have no personal experience with the method. I just thought you might like some additional information.

I have two chestnut (or money) cowries that got rid of all of my bryopsis-theyre hit and miss sometimes. Theyre so cute too lol I tried everything before I settled on those as a last ditch effort (next step would have been to tear the rocks down and fry the rock for a bit.
