Hi fellow reefers,

I have noticed some kind of dark red algae recently growing on my live rocks. I'm not sure whether it's cyano algea or coralline algae. So could anyone help me to identify please?

Thanks

It’s hard to tell from pics. Cyano will be soft. You could blast it off with a turkey blaster. Coralline would be hard, you’d have to scrape it off.

I dont know if its "coraline" but I have the same dark red patch variety. If it's not actually coraline, mine is very similar and nothing to worry about IMO. Cyno is in the sand and is a difference texture.
