Identify Please, unknowns on my Live Rock

I waited 6 hours to buy. Educated myself 6 minutes during the 6 hour wait. The other 5 hours and 54 minutes were spent finding the best price. Impulsive much?

The leftmost rock is a cycled dry rock. The purple on it is painted, this isn't a bad thing. The rightmost rock is actual real live rock, and the coralline algae on it will continue to grow and eventually expand onto the 'dry rock'.

You'll really love it when coralline starts growing on your pumps, glass, and anything plastic in the tank. Don't worry, just scrape gently and it will flake off.

Your live rock (Right side) has two things that will annoy you to no end that I can see off the bat. Spirorbid worms, the little white calcareous tube, and I think the darker cluster of tubes next to it may be colonial hydroids. A little google-fu will turn up pictures that can allow you to check for yourself, my eyes and my monitor aren't what they used to be...

Excellent choices of rock for a first tank though!

I’d recommend starting to dose some copepods to start a colony before adding fish. They are fundamental to a reef environment. They are a massive building block to success from what I’ve learned.

Hello, first saltwater tank, going through my cycle on an Evo 13.5. It’s Day one, so I added live rock , dry sand, water. Dr Tim’s reef all in one. I turned my lights on, and what looked liked slimey blobs on my rock (I almost scraped them off) suddenly took shape once the water was added. Can anyone identify? Total Noob, but looks like one of those red bulb Enemies and maybe some type of Zoas? Also, what should I feed these to keep them alive? I wasn’t planing on adding anything alive for some time. Thanks!

Edit: first is hard to tell from picture, could be a serpent star or a bristle worm. The second Pic is a glass anemone you'll deg want to get rid of that guy and the worms detailed above.

Yes, I got an API master test kit, was told by a friend it sucked. I ordered already two Red Sea test kits, they are on the way, one for basics and one for reef nutrition, along with a refractometer from an online store ... I am hoping for a reef with 2 clowns in this evo 13.5 tank... order a second larger tank 32.5 that will be here in about 2 weeks.

So it may be a worm? If so there are clusters of them because it actually looks like there are 4-5 of these things coming from a central point inside the rock (weird star fish like someone pointed out?) better pics here

And here is a pic of what looks like those spiral worms? Is that them? Oh man! Looks like my bonus rock came with some headaches... reading that the glass anemone and the bristle worms and the spiral worms are all a pain

Now that the rock has been settled for nearly 16 hours things are just crawling out of it! I count at least 12 worm/ or two / three serpent stars ... Dunno

That ricordia mushroom anemone (thanks for the identification fishy212) was smaller than half of a U.S. dime, it’s took shape instantly this morning when I placed the rock but was still half a dime... In a few hours it has (rehydrated?) and is now the size of a quarter... I think it’s healthy and seams hearty. I am ordering up some reef roids today just to be safe, and I assume some micro targeted feeding (down the road) would help keep them healthy until the tank is more mature.

Don’t start over feeding a new tank. Don’t even start feeding it at all yet.
