There are a few things I saw growing on my live rocks and Im Not sure if they are good or bad, so I thought I'd ask. One is the red spots on one of my rocks, another is the wormy looking things on the rock with the red spots, and on a different rock, there is something long, flowy and white.......any thoughts?? Thanks ahead of time guys!

If you can pull the rock that the aiptasia is on, pull it, fry it with a torch, rinse the area off and cover in super glue. As for the vermetids, I don't mind them, they seem to come and go, although their tunnels are razor sharp so be careful. The easiest way to control them is to limit feeding, or if that doesn;t work, you can cover their holes with superlgue gel, or scrape them off with a razor or screwdriver

BTW, there are other methods to kill aiptaisia, but I think they run too much risk, as in injecting with joes juice or aiptasia X, the problem with these, if you mess with aip's they can release thousands of spores when threatened and OUCH. You can also use a product called aqua weld from lowes or a similar reef ready putty to cover them up till they die.;)

no worries bro, just keep on top of the aip, it can get ugly QUICK!
