yesterday I posted information on my sick clown fish
We QT'd him and medicated him but he died
I took two pictures of him right after I took him out of the tank
One picture shows red marks on his spine there is no sign of anything else
Would there still be signs of Brook or itch?
All the other fish in the tank are looking good and FEEDING
I'm hoping it was something else
Thanks everyone for your replies and suggestions
The first picture is of his spine
The second is a overall picture he was 9 months

No fish have been added for over two months, the clowns have been in the tank since last September
The last fish was a flame and that was two and half three months ago

I agree that it looks to have been an infection. Bacterial infections can be caused by many things.... mostly they are caused when an injury gets bacteria in it and the immune system can't fight it off. Parasites often carry with them the risk of infection since they puncture the skin when they feed on the fish. There are any number of things that might have caused your clown to be killed by the bacteria, but it's difficult to monday morning quarterback and try to figure it out after it's died. I'm very sorry, for your loss. Keep an eye on the rest of your fish and watch for signs of parasites or illness.
